4th Annual Lakeshore Harvest Country Bike Tour

Enjoy a countryside bicycle ride by fruit and produce farms, wineries and cider mills near Fennville, Holland, Saugatuck-Douglas and South Haven, MI. Five routes are available, 15 to 100 miles, on flat to rolling terrain. The event includes rest stops, snacks and lunch.

All proceeds go to support the work of the Friends of the Blue Star Trail in the construction of an off-road, recreational pathway connecting South Haven and Saugatuck along the shore of Lake Michigan.

Ride Information

The 4th Annual Lakeshore Harvest Country Bike Tour (LHCBT) will be held on August 15, 2015. The ride begins at the Kal-Haven Trail Head, off north Bailey Ave. in South Haven, MI. Registration is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Riders should be off of the course before 3:30 p.m. Register before August 1st and save $15. A LHCBT T-shirt is available for purchase, an order form is part of the application. Shirts will also be sold at the ride, but supplies will be limited. Click on the icon to register.

Tips for Riders

  • Route distances include 15, 25, 45, 62 (metric century), and 100 miles.
  • Route maps have been revamped, maps for all five rides will be available at the starting point, including the 15 mile loop.
  • Rest stops are located approximately every ten miles on each respective route, all rest stops have bathrooms or porta potties.
  • Snacks and bottled water will be provided at all rest stops.
  • Lunch will be available at Overhiser Orchards any time after 9:30 a.m. Other rest stops may also have lunches.
  • Fruit, produce and local products will be available for purchase and concierge service provided to transport purchases back to the starting point.
